On the edge of the Mendip Hills in the village of Wookey Hole surrounded by classic walking country and stunning scenery, The Wookey Hole Inn from the outside retains a traditional pub appearance while the restaurant, rooms and ambiance appeal to couples, families and groups of all ages. The family-run free house is ideally situated close to the historic city of Wells, beautiful Ebbor Gorge and the many tourist attractions that Somerset has to offer. The bar offers a selection of draught continental beers, stocks the best traditional cider and local ales in the region, and all can be enjoyed in the walled sculpture garden. There are 5 spacious en-suite rooms with either a walk-in shower or free standing bath, all have comfortable king size beds, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers. A limited number of camp beds are available to accommodate families. Pet owners are asked to provide bedding for their well behaved furry friends. There are three chefs who provide the restaurant with dishes that are freshly prepared using locally sourced produce to suit the seasons. PLEASE NOTE:The restaurant is open 7 days a week throughout the year only closing on Sunday evenings, Christmas and Boxing day.

Freshly renovated we have a selection of rooms available from doubles to family rooms. All rooms are en-suite, with tea and coffee making facilities, and freeview TV. Located inside a traditional country pub where we serve good food, ales, snacks and range of spirits. We serve traditional pub food as well as some special meals. Our menu also changes weekly so there's always something new! A warm atmosphere awaits and we also offer a carvery every Sunday, which is very popular! Pets are welcome, we also have a lovely Border Collie of our own who is very friendly! Close to many attractions, including royal Bath spa, Glastonbury Festival and Bath showgrounds. The ancient City with its Cathedral has many interesting historical sights, and Bath and Bristol, Longleat, Stourhead, Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge are easily accessible by car, and there are many varied sights and activities in the area. Stoberry was originally the coach house attached to one of the largest early Georgian houses in Wells. This Georgian period coach house has been transformed into a gracious family home. Comfortably furnished reception rooms lead to individually and tastefully furnished bedrooms, all en suite, and with beautiful views of the gardens and surrounding countryside. Guests have the use of the drawing room, TV room, and their own sitting room. We also have a reading room and sitting room to relax in. The garden has seats strategically placed to take advantage of our outstanding views and as darkness falls we light the one and a half acre walled garden so our guests can enjoy the visual difference and contrast of light and shadow on the plants and sculptures: it is like painting with light.
