The George Hotel of Stamford is a 16th century coaching inn situated in the heart of the historical town of Stamford. The hotel is easily accessible from the A1 with ample complimentary parking onsite. The hotel offers two fabulous restaurants; the Oak Panelled Restaurant and the Garden Room. The Oak Panelled Restaurant is justly famous for the quality of its cuisine, service and superb setting. The Garden Room is a relaxed, informal place to meet and dine yet retains the hotel’s commitment to quality in food and service. All 47 bedrooms are individually designed with great flair and imagination, using only the finest materials, with en-suite bathroom, complimentary wireless internet connection, trouser press, hairdryer and flat screen television. A jacket is respectfully requested for gentleman when dining in the Oak Panelled Restaurant, jeans and sportswear are not permitted.* Our on site Business Centre, is a fully integrated complex devoted to the servicing of meetings and conferences for groups of 2 to 50 delegates. The Business Centre houses three Boardrooms, one larger Conference Room and three Executive Offices and our dedicated Business Centre Manager is on hand throughout the day to make any arrangements for the meetings in progress. The hotel is also a very popular venue for weddings and licensed to hold civil ceremonies in one of our four charming rooms. Our beautiful Oak Panelled Restaurant can accommodate up to 110 guests for the wedding breakfast and our Business Centre makes the ideal venue for the evening reception, catering for up to 130 guests. Gwynne House is a small family run bed and breakfast located in the historic town of Stamford Lincolnshire. At Gwynne House we have over 10 years of experience providing accommodation and ensuring that all our guests feel at home. The house has, over the years, been modernized and extended in keeping its character and today provides accommodation (given a 3 Star rating by the Visit Britain Tourist Board) for 6 guests in three tastefully decorated bedrooms. We are within 6 minutes walk of the beautiful town centre of Stamford and about 15 minutes from Stamford train station allowing you easy access to all amenities while spending a good night sleep in a quite part of the town. All guest rooms have been recently renovated and re-furnished to make your stay at Gwynne House more comfortable. The rooms have quality, modern, sliding sash or German turn-and-tilt double glazed windows and lined curtains. The en-suite double room looks out onto the garden.. The twin/super-king double room looks out onto the front garden. All rooms have central heating with individual thermostat control. Tea and coffee-making facilities are provided in each room. After spending a good night at Gwynne House you can choose from our first class Full English Breakfast or go for something little lighter – Continental. Vegetarian breakfast available, but please let us know in advance. Toast, coffee and tea are unlimited. We can assure you of a warm welcome and friendly service from this family run bed and breakfast. breakfast is available on request by phoning ahead or asking on arrival after 9.00am Set within a delightful listed building in the centre of historic Stamford, we are ideally situated for Burghley House, Belton Park, Rutland Water and the beautiful Vale of Belvoir and its castle. All rooms are en-suite with TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and free WiFi. Also due to our car park being just off the road could you please use this post code PE9 2DF which will bring you outside 'The Lounge'. There is an archway on your left which you need to go through for parking, but parking facilities are only available from 5pm. If you have any trouble finding us please Tel: 01780 480050 we will gladly explain or meet you. Booking in times are 12 pm - 8 pm if you would like to book in any time before or after this then there will be a £10.00 early/late charge but we do not do check ins after 9pm. there is also a 48hr nonrefundable cancellation policy for the full amount.
