SailRacer has a unique team, with enviable experience of technology, sailing, business and communications. The SailRacer team all share the vision of utilising the power of the web to benefit the sport of sailing. Extensive use of technology is utilised in the running of the company.

 Simon Lovesey Simon Lovesey  - originator of SailRacer and key visionary of the system . Simon is a lifetime sailor by sport and passion and an IT expert by profession.

Through Simon’s involvement as a volunteer with the UK Mirror Class Association, and, very simply, understanding the opportunity the internet offers to make sailing event information, promotion and management more accessible SailRacer was developed. SailRacer puts the sport of sailing in a position to maximise the opportunities technology provides.  Simon has a Business Studies Degree and Institute of Marketing Diploma,  bringing communication,  technology and sport administration experience.
Chris Dangerfield -  With a development career that started in 1999, Chris is an extremely experienced and respected software developer with a proven track record and client portfolio to back it up. Chris’s portfolio ranges from well-known corporate companies to NGB’s of English sport. Chris is also a very active member of his local sporting community; he is a UKCC qualified and active Table Tennis coach and is on 4 committees which steer the sport of Table Tennis in his community. He has developed results management and ranking systems for Table Tennis that have been of great benefit to the sport. Chris’s experience with results systems, at club, league and national level, along with his experience and skills as a software developer make him an valuable member of our team.
 Andy Rice  Andy Rice - full-time sailing journalist, writes for most of the sailing ‘Majors’, including the America’s Cup, the Olympic circuit, the Volvo, the Vendée, and offshore classics like the Rolex Sydney Hobart and Fastnet Races. Andy's considerable experience is helping to develop the editorial site of SailRacer, linking articles, comments and news to results and events. This will help drive traffic and keep people (stickiness) on SailRacer.
Charles Smee  Charles Smee - has 20 years experience of Advertising, Sales Promotion, Sales force motivation and Trade marketing in 6 countries with blue chip multinationals . He also has worked in Field and Telephone Direct Sales in a range of sectors (FMCG, Industrial products, Publishing and TV)
Simon Leedham Simon Leedham - a creative web designer with over 9 years in the online industry, Simon has helped to design and build the new SailRacer website to ensure it appeals to the correct audience, is attractive and is fully accessible.  With experience working for digital agencies and on a freelance basis, Simon now runs his own presonal website at, which showcases some of his online work.  Simon will be on hand to help develop the look and feel of the site as it grows.
