RS:X Open training program 2012/13

Run by the RS:X Class in association with the RYA

Purpose: To offer high quality RS:X coaching to those sailors making the transition from Techno or any other class to RS:X.

Three of the training sessions (specified) plus the Inland National Championship event at Rutland Water on November 3& 4th (indicator event) will be selection events for the Transitional Training Squad.

Following the squad selection there will be a further two open training weekends which will be open to those who did and those who did not qualify for the squad.

Further to the above the sessions are open to all RS:X sailors potential and current sailors who wish to participate in structured quality RS:X training.

There may be demo kit available for anyone wishing to give the class a try without committing to purchase the equipment. This will be available at the listed training weekends as below and will be issued on a first come first served basis. Any damage to the equipment is the sole responsibility of the sailor who will be responsible for the full cost of any repairs. There is no hire charge. Our sincere thanks to Boardwise for this facility. Please contact below.

Sailors will be expected to behave in a manor suited to the selection process and any deviation will be noted when the selection process is made. Various policy documents can be found at http://ukwindsurfing.com/racing/poiicies-docs/

Squad selection will be notified by the RYA and further documentation on the squad selection program is available at www.rya.org.uk

Those sailors wishing to be part of the RS:X National Squad and all those sailors wishing to be part of the RS:X Transitional Training Squad must apply via the RYA in the normal way.
