Welcome to the RYANI Youth Championships and Schools Cup Website.

This is Northern Ireland's premier Youth and Junior Sailing event in the calendar. The event will offer youth and junior sailors high level competition as well as accessible training and coaching through a RYANI coach supported regatta fleet.  

Competitors are invited to race in the Optimist, Topper, Topper 4.2, Mirror, Feva XL  fleets if they are under 16 as of 31st December 2014, and may compete in Laser 4.7, Laser Radial and 420 fleets if they are under 19 as of 31st December 2014.

 Please enter for the event online, applications will not be accepted after the 23rd September.
 
The event will also act as an indicator for all sailors interested in being selected for RYANI Junior and Youth Squads.

McCready Sailboats availablility this weekend

RYA NI youth championship this weekend Unfortunately this weekend McCready Sailboats are short staffed and cannot offer a full chandlery service. Brian will be at the Club on Friday night and also Saturday and Sunday after racing. If you need anything brought to BYC on Friday before racing please let us know, we will be there from 6pm - 7pm.  

John Merricks Sailing Trust support support

JMST seeks to help young sailors and youth sailing organisations to achieve their goals and was set up in the memory of leading Olympic sailor and 1996 Olympic silver medallist John Merricks. As the Official Charity Partner, the JMST will donate 50 single-handed junior pathway boats and boards (Topper, Optimist, Laser 4.7, Bic Techno 293OD) to promising new sailors over the next five years, providing them with the opportunity to progress their skills and continue to participate in the sport.

Volunteers needed!

In order to assist with the running of the event and make it a success for the sailors, we would ask that parents/ guardians may be able to assist in a number of key areas. Chris Eames Confirmed as Regatta Fleet Coach

Former RYA GBR National Youth Squad member and UK Topper National Champion 2008, Chris Eames will be coaching the Regatta Fleet at the RYANI Youth Championships this year
