Realignment of RYA Zones 2015
Following a review of the RYA Racing zones it has been decided that the current North and West Zones should be realigned and will now be known as North and Midland Zones. The makeup of the new North and Midlands Zones are detailed below using the current county and unitray authority boundaries.
In addition:-
Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes will be included as part of the Southern Zone (including Milton Keynes).
East Berkshire will be included as the South East Zone.
Poole Harbour will be included as the South West Zone.
It is intended that for the 2015 - 2016 Zone Squad selection, the new zones will take effect. A new RYA Zone Squad Selection Policy has been issued.

During this next selection, and for this year only, sailors who now fall within a different region due to the boundaries being realigned, should contact their RYA High Performance Manager if they require help or advice.
Sailors looking to apply for Zone Squad, for winter 2015/16, should apply for and sail in the indicator series of the Zone Squad that either:
a. Falls within the zone of their primary place of residence, or
b. Falls within the zone of their primary Sailing Club.
If a sailor’s primary place of residence and primary Sailing Club fall within different zones then he/she may initially choose which Zone Squad to apply for and therefore which indicator series to participate in.
Sailing Clubs will be aligned to the new North and Midland Zones based on the Sailing Club location.
