Gurnard SC will be hosting the dinghies

Gurnard Sailing Club is located on the shores of Gurnard Bay, a mile or so west of Cowes.

The location is superb with the prevailing south westerlies providing windward starts and reaching legs to the mainland shore. The racing area is set either within Gurnard Bay for the smaller dinghies or the exciting waters of the western Solent for fast reaching and Olympic courses.

The tides are strong and provide challenging conditions which makes for first-class sailing.

Gurnard sailing club will be running three days of exciting dinghy racing as a part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Regatta. On the Saturday 2nd June there is a unique long distance race which will not only test the sailing ability of the competitors, but it will also put navigational skills to the test. The Sunday and Monday will be Classic dingy racing in the exciting waters off Gurnard Sailing Club.
